The Production Electrician (often abbreviated as PLX) is part of the stage lighting team. They work with Lighting Designer and Chief Electrician with rigging, focusing and patching.
They are predominantly involved in the get-ins and Get-outs and are often relatively unspecialised in electrics so are a good way to get involved in tech, particularly lighting.
