An ADC Mainshow is a type of show in Cambridge. As the name suggests, the show takes place at the ADC Theatre on the main stage and is the 'main show' of the night.

Details

A week-long ADC Mainshow typically starts at 7:45pm each evening from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive. Matinee performances (if there are any) typically start at 2:30pm. ADC Mainshows are usually fairly large-scale when compared to other student productions in Cambridge (such as shows at the Corpus Playroom and college theatres), and often have larger budgets, more elaborate sets, and are aimed at a broad audience of a mixture of Cambridge residents and university students.

Most ADC Mainshows last only one week. However, some shows last longer. These shows include the CUADC/Footlights Panto and the Lent Term Musical.

Get involved

Most ADC Mainshows are programmed one term in advance like all shows at the ADC Theatre and Corpus Playroom. To pitch your own ADC Mainshow, check this page at the start of each term. Anyone can pitch an ADC Mainshow, regardless of experience.

If you'd like to get involved in an already-programmed ADC Mainshow, just check the vacancies page on Camdram.
